The English golfer Secures the Abu Dhabi Title in Thrilling Playoff Showdown Versus Fellow Englishman Fleetwood
The 30-year-old golfer demonstrated exceptional nerve to secure the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on the final day, beating his compatriot in a dramatic playoff following a rollercoaster last day of play.
The Englishman nailed a crucial birdie putt from around eight feet to seal the win, repeating his sole prior tournament success at the 2020 Scottish Open, which was likewise a playoff victory over the same opponent.

The Northern Irish star found himself just too much to do, finishing a stroke behind in a tie for third with Højgaard, after a spectacular 62 final round of 62. It was his lowest-ever score on the DP World Tour, comprising eight birdies and an eagle.
The Danish golfer fired six birdie putts of his as well, but his hopes of topping the standings were dented by a bogey on the 12th. England’s Richard Mansell produced an excellent last round 63 to end up in a tie for fifth place with Australia’s Hillier.
