Palestinian-American Teenager Freed After Nine-Month Period in Israel's Detention

A Palestinian-American adolescent who spent 270 days in imprisonment by Israel without being charged was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention in February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.
American diplomatic officials applauded Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.
Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.
Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "tremendous relief".
Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.
"At this moment, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare he requires after being subjected to harsh conditions and cruel circumstances over several months."
US officials said it would continue to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership has no higher priority to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," officials stated.
A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, requesting additional efforts to release him.
Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four managing a frozen treats business in Florida, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.
There were no visits nor direct contact since February, learning information solely what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained lacking indictment within Ofer penitentiary in the West Bank.
The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and homicide.

After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.

At the time, military authorities reported they were examining reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.
Mohammed and Sayfollah were employed together at their family's ice cream business from Tampa.
No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.
"We demand United States leadership to safeguard our relatives," the uncle stated.
