Barça Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
