Actor Denies Anti-Vax Position Following Voicing Controversial Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has given his narration to a recent film that challenges the legitimacy of vaccinations and praises one-time government figure RFK Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the illness was linked to a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with conspiracy-prone radio host Alex Jones. The producer recently posted praising Neeson's role in the film.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have released a statement pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine views.

"Many understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that must not be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vaccination. His long work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."

The statement added that the star was not involved in crafting the film's editorial content and that concerns about its assertions are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Central Themes In the Documentary

According to the documentary, the script read by Neeson features several controversial claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "medical science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Kennedy is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The film further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it cites a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Context and Ongoing Debates

It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a formal apology by the network for editorial breaches.

Last month, the political figure directed the national health agency to change its official position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, even with a recent study from the global health body stating no connection has been found.

A Past Statement of Support

Contrasting the documentary's narrative, Neeson has in the past voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This isn't the finish of our story. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
